Relax... I Say-

I Have found that I have been running.... Creating-! and not taking the time I...(we all) need to take with ourselves.

Peace Out!

Summer in Seabrook

When I was younger, my family would rent a house and spend the entire summer at Seabrook Beach.
This is a photo of me as a little girl sitting out in the sand dunes behind our house.
October Afternoon's Seaside line worked perfectly for me to carry out my crafty vision.
Did your family have any special summer traditions when you were growing up?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I must have my cup of...

Monday morning, and my husband has just made me a cup of coffee.
I have such a lovely husband....he knows that I can not function with out my morning coffee...
So everyday I wake up and smell the coffee. Isn't he amazing, he knows what I need.
This layout is about my bad habit....drinking coffee before breakfast.

I have play around with distress Ink, Tim Holtz masks and Catlifepress stamps and some glossy accent.

Thats all from me today.
Have a nice day.

Full Color

"In the midst of winter, blue skies and foliage are hard to find. So we look for things with color. Here we are visiting a small Ohio city, smiling through cutouts of a forgotten Christmas village."

Digital Elements (Journaling Block: Creating Keepsakes) (Grungy Overlay: Michelle Coleman)

I purchased the fiber for this layout on our drive home in another small Ohio town called Beverly. When I called ahead to check on the hours of the store (Scraps of Time), the owner told me she'd be at the nursing home until 11 and would open the store shortly after. When I met Donna Coleman that morning as she toted her box of supplies into the store, I asked her what she did at the nursing home. She said that on the last Monday of every month she went to the home to scrap with the residents. Donna has a group of 5 regular attendees who bring their own pictures and scrap their memories. Isn't that a wonderful thing to do? Proof again that most people who scrap are caring human beings!

Waiting for you!

Hi Everyone!

Here is a layout that I have done on my last pregnancy. This pic was taken 3 days before Jake arrived. Having had three children, each pregnancy was very differerent to the last, so why not do a page on yours?

I know my older ones love looking back in my albums, and are amazed at my pregnancy pics of them growing in my belly!

I have used tattered angels ink on the background, and used a cling wrap roll to get the cirlces on the background.

Have a great week!

Peace and Freedom for Egypt

Many of you have surely been following the events in Egypt on the news over the past week. I am half Egyptian, and have many relatives and friends living in Egypt. During this uncertain and often frightening time, I felt the need to create something hopeful around the topic of Egypt. I entitled this layout "Peace and Freedom for Egypt" as this is what I hope will come out of the current situation. I used Egypt's colors, and an assortment of different photos from my many trips to the country I love.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please keep Egypt and its wonderful people in your thoughts.
