Here is my take on the black and white with a pop of your favorite color challenge.
Mine is titled "Calm"
I did a hidden journaling and slot it behind my pic with a sort of paper clip.
The jounaling reads;
Admist all the hustle and bustle of life. There is a certain calmness about it all. I could settle on the routine of life and I can be sure that life is gonna be ok! :)

Both layouts are very nice. Love the button border, 1 photo in color, 1 in b & w in the top layout. Love the splattered background and theme in the bottom layout.
