My favorite things of...

SPRING! Well, I live in Brazil and now it's begging the best season of the year in my opinion, Spring! So, I did a layout to celebrate this season.

You can click on image to see it bigger. My journaling is about my favorites things of spring: birds singing, more time of daylight, a lot of flowers and not so hot weather.
What do you like about the season that is beginning in your country now? Go outside, take a picture and do some scrapbooking about it.
Today is my last post in scrap yourself, I hope you got inspired! I'm thankful to be part of this design team and I discovered somethings about me being part of it. It was a pleasure journey.
You can submit your inscription to be a part of the new design team, good luck!
See you around...

Incredible Blessings

It has been such a fun experience to be a part of the Scrap Yourself Design Team! For my last post, I wanted to share a layout about the incredible blessings in my life--my five babies.
Reflecting on our blessings can help us put life in perspective and ground us to what is really important. I'm so thankful for my children and realize that my family is my number one priority in life. Somedays are challenging and overwhelming with five kids--but I cannot ever deny the happiness that they bring to me.

Count your blessings in your life, record them for yourself and those your love.

Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful comments about my posts. I really appreciate them all and hope that I have been able to inspire you to Scrap Yourself :)

Favorite Accessory

Greetings!

This is my last post of the term here at Scrap Yourself. I have had a wonderful time scrapping with my fellow SY-ers, and hearing from our followers, too! :)

This week I am posting about my favorite accessory...a bow! I love to wear bows in my hair and think they are the perfect girly accessory. For my LO "Never Too Old for Bows" I collected 12 photos of myself wearing bows in the past year and found a way to organize them all onto an 8.5 x 11 page. I added some ribbon bows onto the page, as well as some cute little girls with bows that I cut from October Afternoon paper.

What is your favorite accessory? A pocketbook, new shoes, a sentimental piece of jewelry? Let us know and take the time this week to scrap it! :)

Thanks again to the SY DT for all of the inspiration over the past few months!

Happy Scrapping!

Your Inspiration

Hey Folks, Zoe here with my last blog post, I have had a wonderful journey with you guys I cant believe it's over so fast. I hope you'll all keep in touch. :-)
On to my layout, today I wanted to share My Inspiration (and I got to squeeze in a photo of my wonderful children) This is still going into my Book of ME!! My children really are my main source of inspiration, forst of all I get to fullfil my creative side, I love photography and if I drag them around the pumpkin patch on a cold windy day and ask them to smile for Mamma they do and they are always happy to. My oldest always asks when she will get to scrapbook like me, this seriously touches my heart she appeciates the art value of my work, I dont do scrapbooking just for recording every moment although I love to capture the moments too I can go a whole month without journaling on one page! Sometimes I journal on every page. I love the value of scrapbooking as a paper art & mixed media form. So an artist always has a muse!

These are my 3 little muse's

Thank you so much for listening to my ramblings over the past 3 months. Happy Scrapping.

Changing Times

I remember my highschool teacher telling us about "change"... she said there is no permanent thing in this world except for CHANGE! And we should change for a more positive outlook in life. I want to share this layout as I enter a new chapter in my life... I am now on my middle age and I am so happy that at this point of my life, I still have something new and exciting happening with me. I am now an Elementary School Teacher...

Changing Times... my journaling goes " Life's Experiments is finding out, I can be a TEACHER and still live with peace, love and happiness.

Go for that change and be happy with it... do share yours!

More Quotes

I really like quotes because they tell something about yourself, about your principles.

Quote from this layout: "Your heart is the music that moves the world"

I don't know who is the author of this quote (if you know, please, tell me) but it says a lot about me and my principles. I made this layout using THIS sketch.
I hope I motivated you to choose a quote, a meaningful picture and scrap...
If you want, you can use this quote too. Let me know if you did a layout about it.
Have a good time scrapping!

Childhood Photos and Memories

Last year I took an album from my parents' home that had childhood photos of me. My plan was to scan them all and then give the album back to my parents. Well, I've only scanned a few but have the goal to finish them all before Thanksgiving :)
I don't have a ton of photos of me from my childhood but enough to evoke some wonderful memories. One of those precious memories is all of the pretty dresses my mom would sew for us. She made amazing creations. I love being able to tie these memories into photos. And hope to record more childhood memories as I scan and print the rest of my photos.

What are some of your favorite photos and memories from your childhood? Be sure to record them in your journal or album.

My Abode!

Hello Sunday! Its been almost two weeks since I last posted... been quite busy lately because finally I'm teaching. But of course, I will never forget scrapping (crossing my fingers for this promise!) hahaha! Let me share a simple layout, a page about my simple home.

Home Sweet Home!

A few months ago, I posted something about "how your home reflects you". I thought of scrapping my living space to share a little piece of me and to remember how does it looked years ago. Oh well, my house hasn't changed at all, although its due for another repainting, I am still thinking of changing the colors of the outer scene. My house is 10 years, 2 months and 3 days old today, and is loaded with lots of good happenings and memories. Although its been a decade already, I still feel happy and contented living here.

Hope you have a HOME SWEET HOME always!

Halloween Reflections

Good Morning!

Now that it is October and Halloween is right around the corner, I decided to dig up some old Halloween photos and scrap myself as a child in an old Halloween costume!

These photos are from 1986 when I dressed up for Halloween as a witch. Old Halloween pictures are always fun to look back on, so grab some of your own old photos, and start scrapping yourself!

Scrap Your Car!

After all, what you drive says a lot about who you are! I made a layout about my car a while back and listed the top 5 reasons why I love it so.

You might also consider making a layout about your first car. I did that a few years ago, and it was fun reminiscing about that old blue bug! I didn't have a picture of my first car, so I found some photos on the internet. (If you click on the layout, you will see a larger image so that you can read my journaling.)

In between my first car and my current car, I've had a few others, and I hope to make some pages about my adventures in those cars, too. My last car was a magenta Capri, and my husband had to drag me screaming and kicking to buy a new car--I loved that car so much, but I'd had it for almost ten years, and it had seen better days. Now that I'm writing this post, I'm already scheming the page I want to make!

I hope you'll take the time to journal about your ride! It's a fun peek into who you are!

Your Values

We have Values, Morals etc which do you hold dearest to your character? For me it's Truth I am so truthful that it has gotten me into trouble before, sometimes I wish I could just be a little less truthful ya know! But it's part of me and yes I will tell you if your butt looks big in your new jeans! lol

Our own values make us who we are good and bad so what are yours? And will you scrap them?

Purpose

Well, today I'm posting at the end of the day...
In some parts of the world is already tomorrow, day 09.

In my layout I got inspired in exploring my purpose: understanding my principle, know my mission and what inspirations I hold most dear.

You can click on my layout to see it bigger and read the journaling.
Let's get deeper and do your layout about your purpose. What inspirations do you hold most dear? Do you know your mission? What is it? Can you number your principles? You can put a beautiful picture of you in this layout.
I hope you have a great time scrapping...

More Pages for My Weight-Loss Album

A while back, I shared that I have been documenting my weight-loss journey. I thought I'd share a couple of my latest pages for this album.
These pictures were taken last winter. I've lost some more weight since then. I wanted to document the people who help me at Weight Watchers.

And on this page, I celebrated a major milestone. I haven't worn jeans in almost two decades. Everyone at my school wears jeans on Fridays, except me--until now. I took the plunge and bought some jeans about a month ago.

Thank you for letting me share some more about my journey. It's a long, hard one, but I'm slowly making my way!

Birthdays...

We all celebrate birthdays every year... actually, I'm about to celebrate again later this year, turning 42 to be exact. Ever since I became a member of the Scrapaholics, my birthdays became more special and memorable. Of course my family and kids make it special too, but we at the Scrapaholics create themes and gimmicks just to make sure it is extra special. My 41st birthday was celebrated on a spa where we had a little foot pampering and a formal dining at Mio Cosina. Here's a simple layout I did to remember my 41st birthday...

Would you like to make a layout of your birthday celebrations and add those memories yearly? Please do share it with us here are Scrap Yourself! Happy Monday Everyone!

Thanks for looking!
